Hello fellow composers,
Many of you have been asking for a way to add notes without having the cursor move forward. We get it - it'll make it easier to stack notes to form chords and to make adjustments to the note you just added, like adding an articulation or an accidental.
So we've recently added this possibility with what we call "Chord mode". We also used this as an opportunity to change the way you access the "insert mode" (on that, you can read our help page here).
Now the main editing mode is the melodic mode, which is the one you have known and used so far. In this mode, when you add a note, the cursor moves to the next note.
But you can easily change to insert mode or the new chord mode:
