This improvement makes it easier for music teachers, students, and administrators to access Flat for Education using the tools they already rely on every day.

Many teachers use Flat for Education to support composition, theory, performance tasks and collaborative music projects. With Single Sign On through Clever, students can now open Flat for Education instantly from their Clever Portal and begin creating music right away.

What This Clever Integration Includes

Flat for Education currently supports Clever Single Sign On. This allows teachers and students to sign in quickly and securely using their existing Clever credentials. There is no need to remember separate usernames or passwords, and no need for teachers to manage additional accounts.

The Clever integration provides:

  • Simple and secure sign-in from the Clever Portal
  • Automatic authentication using a school’s existing Clever accounts
  • Fast access to Flat for Education on any device, including Chromebooks and tablets

What This Integration Does Not Include

To avoid confusion for districts, it is important to clarify that our Clever integration does not include roster syncing or class provisioning. Rostering for Flat for Education is available through other integrations such as Google Classroom, Teams, Canvas, Schoology or Moodle.

Schools that use Clever SSO can still roster students in Flat for Education through:

  • Manual class creation
  • Join codes
  • LMS integrations listed above

This gives schools flexibility while keeping Clever as a fast entry point to the platform.
